What do colors mean to us?

All colours effect us emotionally. They affect us in a positive way and also in a negative way. Lets take a look of certain colours and their effect on us emotionally.

The first colour is orange. It is the colour of social communication and positivity. Thus from a negative perspective, it is also a sign of pessimism and superficiality.

Another colour is yellow, which is the colour of mind and intellectualism. Yellow can also be associated with optimism and cheerfulness. On the other hand, it can also suggest impatience, criticism and cowardice.

The colour green symbolises with balance and growth. It can mean both self-reliance as a positive and possessiveness as a negative perspective among many other meanings.

Another colour is blue which is a colour of trust and peace. Blue can suggest loyalty and integrity as well as conservatism and frigidity.

The colour Indigo is the colour of intuition. The meaning of colours, with regards to the colour Indigo, it can mean idealism and structure as well as ritualistic and addictive.

The colour Purple is the colour of imagination. Purple can be creative and individual or immature and an impractical emotion.

The Turquoise colour can be sense of communication and clarity of mind. The colour can also be impractical and idealistic.

The Pink colour shows unconditional love and nurturing. Pink can also be immature, silly and girlish.

The colour Magenta is the colour of universal harmony and emotional balance. Magenta can be spiritual yet practical, encouraging common sense and a balanced outlook on life.

The colour Brown can be friendly yet serious and down-to-earth colour that relates to security, protection, comfort and material wealth.

The colour Gray is a colour of compromise of being neither black nor white. In other words, Gray is a transition between two non-colours. On the other hand, it can also be unemotional and detached and can be indecisive.

Silver is compared to feminine energy. The colour can be related to the moon and the ebb and the flow of the tides. It is fluid, emotional, sensitive and mysterious.

Gold is the colour of success, achievement and triumph. It can be associated with abundance and prosperity, luxury and quality, prestige and sophistication, value and elegance. It can be implied with affluence, material wealth and extravagance.

White is the colour at its most complete and pure, the colour of perfection. In other words, it is the meaning of purity, innocence, wholeness and completion.

Black is the colour of hidden yet secretive and the unknown, creating an air of mystery. It also keeps things bottled up inside, hidden from the world.
